I cannot believe it is already February! Time sure is flying and with the busy season fast approaching, I have designated this time off to give everything a face lift. You may have noticed some of the changes that keep taking place here on the blog and website. Bear with me, I am indecisive ;) I have been working on some new products and specials that I am really excited about as well, all to be revealed in the coming weeks. I am looking forward to this year and really focusing on the direction I want to head and I want my "face lift" to reflect that. In other news, I've booked my first "destination" wedding later this year in California. I am *super stoked*! Anyway, that is my update for now, Check back soon :)

It's my birthday....as of 10:20am eastern time I was 26 years old. How does 26 feel? Not much different than 25. Just another year closer to 30. GASP! My day started off GREAT! I got a table full of roses and Reese's ice cream cake from the hubby. :) (Angel is his nickname for me...he did not get the name wrong LOL)

Then we decided to put our Wii bowling skills to good use and hit the lanes....note to self...just because you can achieve Pro status in Wii, does not make you a good bowler. Oh, and why are bowling shoes so ugly?

Then we decided on some yummy Italian food that was....not so yummy.....
And finally we got all snuggle, buggle warm in our toasty car to watch "Bride Wars" at the drive in. Cute film if you're, well, a chick like me. Husband, not so interested.
So now, there's 50 minutes left of January 17th, and as my husband and I enjoy the d-lish ice cream cake, I add 26 to the book of birthdays past and hope that this year brings us more happiness and love than any other year. :)

I really hate the way I look in pictures, I think everyone goes through that at one time or another. But we had our military ball last night so I couldn't help but throw in an impromtu photoshoot with the tripod of us all fancy. I soooo love my sexy man in uniform :)

Last week we traveled to SC to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. We had so much fun playing with the kids and just an F.Y.I.....deep fried turkey rocks our socks. Anyhoo, we had time to do a shoot of the kiddos while we were there. I had to do a little bribing with some candy to get some smiles but hey. I'm Aunt Amy. I can do that. :)

I very rarely talk politics with anyone. I have found there are certain arguments you will never win and everyone will try to convince you their idea is better. So it's just best to be quiet :) But.....I am ecstatic how the outcome of the election came out. Never before have I been so invloved in learning about each candidate. It saddens me how much hate there is out there because of this race and the people who actually believe some of the stuff going around. I understand that this man is a politician and not everything will play out the way he promised. I understand he has many expectations to fill from supporters AND critics alike. That would have held true for McCain as well. But for the first time in a LONNNNNNNNNNG time, I believe change can come to this country. It's not that I don't think Mr. McCain could have brought change, I respect him and truley believe he would have done much more than the current administration, I just believe Obama can do better. And I very strongly dislike Palin ;) So. It's over. It's done. A new leadership is upon us. It's time to come together and embrace the change. :)

We are not ones who very often listen to mainstream music. I love finding new bands and songwriters. I have somewhat of a love affair with the acoustic guitar and piano...and maybe the violin ;) Anyway, some friends of ours invited us this weekend to head to South Carolina to see Angie Aparo in concert. We LOVE doing stuff like this. He put on an AMAZING show. The whole scene was very cool, very intimate and we had a blast. If he's ever in your area, go see him. You won't be disappointed.
